A Scientific Dissent From Darwinism

Public TV programs, educational policy statements, and science textbooks have asserted that Darwin’s theory of evolution fully explains the complexity of living things. The public has been assured, most recently by spokespersons for PBS’s Evolution series, that “all known scientific evidence supports [Darwinian] evolution” as does “virtually every reputable scientist in the world.”

The following scientists dispute the first claim and stand as living testimony in contradiction to the second. There is scientific dissent to Darwinism. In fact over 600 scientists from Stanford to the Smithsonian have signed this dissent statement. The statement reads as follow:

We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be closely examined.

On the website "dissentfromdarwin.org" there is a full list of the professors and other PhD holders who have signed the "Scientific Dissent From Darwinism":

If you're a college student and professors from your University are listed, this might be a good resource to use when selecting classes to take.

But the list of scientists named "Steve" who assent to evolution is much longer.

Perhaps. But I have posted some comments on the blog of one of the signers of this "dissent" list and his comment was simply "I don't think evolution explains everything". So you can see why I think that medical doctor is not really qualified to have an opinion of this subject.

"virtually every reputable scientist in the world"

So, if the above medical doctor is not really a "scientist", he does not count against the Theory of Evolution.

Science is not a "popularity contest".

"We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life."

Note that this is carefully contrived so that "creationism" and "intelligent design" are not mentioned. So someone who thinks that evolution is not the perfect theory yet might be misled into signing it.

Then the promoters of "intelligent design" nonsense try to claim "support". Quite dishonest.
